The NCRC is a valuable, portable certificate that verifies three foundational skills: Applied Mathematics, Reading for Information and Locating Information. The NCRC is used by thousands of employers, employees and job applicants as a unform measure of key workplace skills. It helps job applicants stand out from the crowd, and assures employers that applicants have the foundational skills needed to be successful on the job.

The services offered by the Oregon Employment Department's Business and Employment Services unit reflect our committment to help Oregonians. We offer a wide range of services in our offices that can help job seekers regain employment or improve their current employment prospects. All these services are offered at no charge!

Community Colleges and Workforce Development

Oregon receives federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) funding to provide an array of services to job seekers in offices across the state. These centers provide anyone who walks in the door with information to help them get a job or potentially go to school to train in a new career direction. Our services may include: information regarding Unemployment Insurance payments, résumé writing, application and interview help, work skills assessment and other other job seeker assistance.
